Welcome to "Internet-to-Go"

This is a plain and simple, no-frills website created to introduce the "Internet-to-Go" and the "Webpage-On-Disk" concepts. The web content is mostly text-based. No colorful background. No graphic-intensive wallpaper. No animation, sound and video. No plug-ins required!

While surfing the Net, "Speed is of the essence".

As not everyone who surfs the Net are using broadband, cable or other high-speed connection for dial-up to their Internet Service Providers (ISP), most visitors will avoid the website if it takes ages to load the pages.

It seems like everyone's talking about the Internet these days. But what is it really? How does it work? How do you access it? And most important, what can it do for you at work or at home?

These question were posed at the CenterSpan Internet Tutorial website, a great place to start for Internet newbies. Let the tutorial be your guide to the Internet as you connect for the first time and explore the network's vast and useful resources.

What if you have a personal computer at home but do not have access to the Internet for one reason or another?

One way to learn about the Internet is to read books, newspapers, magazines and other printform media. You can also watch TV programs which regularly feature Internet websites. There are also programs on introduction to the Internet at community clubs, grassroot organisations, training schools and radio talkshows.

Another way (and this is something new to many people who have not heard about it), is to get the "Da Bao", "Take Away" or "To-Go" (as they call it in the US) version of the websites you would like to visit.

For instance, if you are unable to visit the restaurant personally to have your meal there because you are busy with work at the office or at home, you could get someone to buy you a "To-Go" package; or you could order a "Home Delivery" meal from the restaurant if this service is available.

Similarly, if you are unable to surf the Net personally but you want someone to help you do data mining work for your research project, "iNet2Go" could provide you with the solution.
